VERIDIAN TRIES TO MAKE LINDA A SCAPEGOAT WHEN THE COMPANY IS SUED, ON ABC'S "BETTER OFF TED"

"Trust and Consequences" The company tries to make Linda the scapegoat in a lawsuit for a perfume Veridian created that causes women to be attacked by hornets, even though Linda insists she sent an email warning Ted and Veronica. Linda thinks Ted has betrayed her, while Ted insists he never got the email. Meanwhile, the depositions for the case leave Phil and Lem's friendship in tatters when Phil is forced to admit that he lied about attending Lem's alma mater, M.I.T., on "Better Off Ted," TUESDAY, JULY 14 (9:00-9:30 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

"Better Off Ted" stars Jay Harrington as Ted, Portia de Rossi as Veronica, Andrea Anders as Linda, Jonathan Slavin as Phil, Malcolm Barrett as Lem and Isabella Acres as Rose.

Guest starring are Maz Jobrani as Dr. Bhamba, Jordan Murphy as the male lawyer and Janet Verney as the lawyer.

"Trust and Consequences" was written by Mike Teverbaugh and directed by Lee Shallat-Chemel.

Probably will get trounced by All Star Game, Big Brother and Deadliest Catch.

Tensions mount after Linda temporarily moves into Ted's office, eventually driving Ted into Veronica's office. Meanwhile, socially inept Lem works up the nerve to ask Lucy, a beautiful Veridian scientist, out on a date.

Seriously, watch this show. It's hilarious. Maybe it can get to 2 million viewers though I don't think that many people are that interested in The Superstars.

Not surprising considering that it was badly promoted and was stuck behind Superstars. Actually, it was not promoted at all. Sounds like most people that did watch it had set their DVRs to record new episodes are were surprised that it had recorded or had fallen asleep watching Superstars.

Just me posting this is more promotion than ABC is doing for the show. Though I did get a friendly reminder from the BOT group on Facebook. According to ABC.com, it's titled "You Are the Boss Of Me" and the synopsis is:

Executives Ted and Veronica try mingling with the worker bees, with mixed results.

With daughter Rose out of town, Ted tries socializing with Lem and Phil. They reluctantly invite him to their Medieval Fight Club, held in Veridian's basement. Once Ted's sucked into the action, he finds he can't stop, oblivious to the fact that his presence is making everyone else feel like they're still on the clock. Meanwhile, Linda attempts to befriend Veronica and realizes they might be better off staying in a boss/employee relationship.

Medieval Fight Club? Am I even allowed to talk/blog about Medieval Fight Club? That just sounds awesome.

I'm so happy that BOT is back for a short run this summer to burn off all the episodes of the first season's order. It's not coming back till mid-season, which makes some sense since that will put less pressure on it to come through with sparkling numbers.
